Hello, ladies and gents. My name is Mark Crawford and I have been guiding fly fishing trips on the Spring River out of Mammoth Springs, AR for over four years.
I primarily do drift boat trips, but I also do walk-in trips down the river. Dam number 3 is my primary access point, and it offers fantastic trout opportunities. I fish this area almost daily. This is a great benefit for you because I know the area so well. While other guides work out of the White and Norfork, I only guide on the Spring. All of my flies were designed or modified by me to use on the Spring River. Some of my flies are works of pure genius, but maybe I'm just a little biased.
When you hire me as your guide, I will teach you to catch trout on the river. Please look at our photos to see some of our clients and the trout they have caught. I only use fly rods, and a lot of the fly fishermen and women I meet on the river are shocked by my methods of catching trout. It works!
I am trying to promote fly fishing on the Spring River because it is my passion. If you have never fly fished before, come down and let me teach you. Spring River Fly Shop has a complete line of fly fishing rods, reels, gear and flies. I believe fly fishing should be fun and relaxing, so plan on having a good time. I hope to see you soon.

Hi, I’m Dale Sorrell. I grew up in the Mammoth Spring, AR area and graduated from Thayer, MO. As a kid, I didn’t know that the best fishery was in my own back yard! I moved to Guthrie, OK after college, and it wasn’t until two years ago on a family reunion trip back to Thayer that I rediscovered the Spring River. I've fished all over the country, including: Santa Cruz Islands, CA; Lake Fork, TX; Hayward, WI; Snake River, WY; Kesagami Lake, ON, Canada and different places between. Mark took me on a guided trip on the Spring River and I have been “hooked” ever since. Together we have joined forces and started “Spring River Fly Shop and Guide Service.” With Mark’s guiding experience and my marketing and business background, we plan to offer the best fly shop and guide service possible.
